BERLIN (CP) -- Bombardier Transportation says it has won a contract to supply 219 driverless transit cars from the Land Transport Authority of Singapore.
The contract, announced early Friday, is valued at about US$380 million, or about C$456 million at current exchange rates.
Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2012 and will be completed in mid-2016, Bombardier said.
Bombardier Transportation is based in Berlin and is part of Bombardier Inc., a Montreal-based aircraft manufacturer and railcar developer, which had annual revenues of US$17.5 billion for the fiscal year ended last Jan. 31.
