Captive-Aire Bringing 75 Jobs To Pennsylvania

Maker of kitchen ventilation systems says it is bringing 75 new jobs to Bedford County when it opens its Northeast Manufacturing Center.

BEDFORD, Pa. (AP) -- A company that makes kitchen ventilation systems says it is bringing 75 new jobs to Bedford County.
 
Captive-Aire Systems Inc. plans to open its Northeast Manufacturing Center in Bedford's Business Park I.
 
Captive-Aire is a 32-year-old company based in North Carolina. It already has manufacturing plants in that state, Iowa, Oklahoma and California.
 
The company is getting $2.9 million in low-interest loans and grants from the state to build the new $6 million plant in Bedford County.
 
Captive-Aire sells its ventilation systems to restaurants, national chains and other institutions with kitchen facilities.
