MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) -- Honeywell says it will buy Norcross Safety Products for $1.2 billion to expand its life safety product offerings.
The diversified manufacturer said Friday it agreed to buy the Oak Brook, Ill-based company from is majority owner Odyssey Investment Partners.
Norcross Safety Products makes protective and safety equipment for the fire service, utility and general industrial worker segments.
Morris Township, N.J.-based Honeywell will integrate the company into Honeywell Life Safety, part of its automation and control solutions group.
