TUPELO, Miss. (AP) -- Cooperating companies in North Carolina and China have announced plans for a furniture supply business in Tupelo.
The announcement came Tuesday from Cenro, a partnership between Hiddenite, N.C.-based Industrial Timber Inc. and China-based Tai Zhou Changing Vehicle Co.
The new company will supply metal and other components to the furniture industry, Industrial Timber CEO Mike Ruch said in a statement.
Industrial Timber designs and makes wood components for upholstered furniture manufacturers, who in turn build frames for their products.
Tai Zhou makes metal components for a variety of industries, including automotive and furniture.
The new company here expects to employ up to 40 employees.
