L-3 Receives $36 Million Army Contract

Company has been awarded a one-year contract to provide aircraft and manufacturing services to the U.S. Army under a logistics support program.

NEW YORK -- L-3 Communications has been awarded a one-year, $36 million contract to provide aircraft and manufacturing services to the U.S. Army under a logistics support program at the Corpus Christi Army Depot.
 
The company has performed as the incumbent contractor on this program since 2005.
 
"We're prepared to provide our expertise and support to the Army as it continues its depot maintenance activities, while simultaneously working to repair and refurbish helicopters that have been engaged in the Global War on Terror," said Ed Boyington, president of L-3 Vertex Aerospace. 
 
Mississippi-based  L-3 Vertex Aerospace provides aviation and other aerospace technical services, primarily to government customers.
