SEATTLE (AP) -- Todd Shipyards Corp., which provides repair work for government ships, said Tuesday it won a five-year contract from the U.S. Navy to overhaul and maintain four aircraft carriers in the Puget Sound.
The company said the total value of the contract, which consists of multiple options, would not be known until the work under each option is defined.
The work includes non-nuclear ship repair, alternation and maintenance, and will be performed by subsidiary Todd Pacific Shipyards or its subcontractors, the company said.
Shares of Todd Shipyards rose 67 cents, or 4.7 percent, to $14.86 in early afternoon trading.
