HARTSVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- Sonoco Products Co., which provides packaging products and services, said Monday it will raise prices on its tube and core products by a minimum of five percent effective September 15.
Sonoco said the price hike, which is in addition to an energy surcharge that went into effect last month, is the result of rising paper and raw materials costs.
Shares rose 19 cents to $32.99 in morning trading.
