NEW YORK (AP) — Chinese solar product maker Trina Solar Ltd. said Wednesday it has agreed to purchase $154 million worth of silicon-cutting devices from Meyer Burger AG.
The equipment is scheduled to be delivered as Trina expands its operations through 2010.
Switzerland-based Meyer Burger makes high-precision machines that cut brittle materials like silicon, sapphire or other crystals.
Trina shares fell 35 cents to $62.84 in premarket trading.
