TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) — Owens Corning, a building materials maker, said Friday it agreed to sell its continuous filament mat business and related marble production assets to AGY, a producer of fiberglass yarns.
Financial terms were undisclosed.
The continuous filament mat business is in Huntingdon, Penn., and the marble production assets are in Anderson, S.C.
The moves are part of a previously announced plan to sell some composite manufacturing plants.
The deal is expected to close during the fourth quarter, subject to regulatory approval.
