AUSTIN, Minn. (AP) — Packaged meat products maker Hormel Foods Corp. on Thursday said it acquired
Burke Corp., a maker of pizza toppings and other meat products, for about $110 million.

Hormel expects annual net sales from Burke of $125 million and expects the deal to add to earnings in fiscal 2008.
Hormel said the acquisition will add to its manufacturing capabilities.
