Simpson Buys Swan Secure Products

PLEASANTON, Calif. (AP) - Simpson Manufacturing Co., which makes connectors and venting systems, said Monday it bought Swan Secure Products Inc. for about $43.5 million.

Simpson said it bought all of Swan's stock. Swan distributes fasteners.

Shares of Simpson rose 7 cents to $32.16 in after-hours trading after falling 70 cents to close at $32.09.
