STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Trelleborg announced Friday that it acquired the operations of Hydro-Components Research & Development Corp. (HCRD), a precision bearing and sealing devices company.
HCRD, which manufactures high-precision components, focuses on large diameter seals and bearings that are primarily used in applications involving heavy-duty cylinders.
“The products fit in ideally with our current portfolio, will expand our offering and enable us to grow more rapidly in North America, within the segment for heavy duty vehicles,” said Claus Barsoe, Business Area President for Trelleborg Sealing Solutions. “The acquisitions also offer distinct process and organizational synergies.”
