Rockwell Automation Acquires ICS Triplex For $218 Million

ICS Triplex, which has over 500 employees, is projected to have annual revenues of about $139 million.

MILWAUKEE - Rockwell Automation, Inc. announced Thursday its acquisition of Industrial Control Services Group Ltd. (“ICS”), a UK-based supplier of critical control and safety solutions to the process industries, for $218 million.
 
ICS, which does business as ICS Triplex and has over 500 employees, is expected to have annual revenues of about $139 million for their current fiscal year ending May 31, 2007. The company has operations in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and North America.
 
The acquisition is an important strategic fit for Rockwell Automation’s rapidly expanding process control and safety solutions businesses, said Keith Nosbusch, Chairman and CEO of Rockwell Automation.
 
ICS Triplex will become part of Rockwell Automation’s Control Products and Solutions operating segment.
 
Rockwell Automation, a provider of industrial automation control and information solutions, has approximately 19,000 employees in over 80 countries.
