Vestar Capital Partners said Friday it will acquire Huish Detergents, a manufacturer of private-label laundry detergent and fabric softeners in North America.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Huish has 2,300 employees in Utah, Tennessee, Kentucky and Texas and annual sales of $1 billion. Headquarters will remain in Salt Lake City, Utah, and employees will not be affected by the transaction. Huish CEO Dan Huish will remain as CEO and retain a minority stake in the company.Vestar Capital is an international private equity firm that focuses on companies in the U.S., Europe and Japan that are valued between $100 million and $5 billion.
