Airgas, Inc. said Monday that it has purchased Southern Welding Supply, Inc. and Alpena Supply Co. These transactions bring the number of acquisitions for fiscal 2007 to 10, with acquired sales of $140 million.
Alabama-based Southern Welding Supply is an industrial gas and welding supply distributor with $15 million in revenue.
Airgas Great Lakes will integrate the Welding Division of Alpena Supply and its Northern Michigan Welding Supply affiliate, which have $4 million in annual revenues.
The plumbing, heating and pipes, valves and fittings (PVF) division will stay with Alpena.
