Valspar Gains Powder Coating Business

Company purchased H.B. Fuller Co.’s powder coating business.

The Valspar Corp., a global coatings company, announced Thursday that it will acquire H.B. Fuller Co.’s powder coating business.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The H.B. Fuller Co. powder coatings business, which had $75 million net sales in 2005, serves customers in 26 countries from manufacturing facilities in the U.S. and the UK.

Valspar is a $3 billion company in the paint and coatings industry, with products including industrial, architectural, packaging, automotive refinish, floor coatings and specialty polymers and colorants.
