NN Inc., a manufacturer of high precision bearing components, said Friday that it purchased Whirlaway Corp., a high precision metal component and fluid control assembly manufacturer, for $44 million.
Whirlaway expects sales for 2006 of $80 million and employs 575 people in Ohio and Arizona.
NN had 2005 sales of $321 million.
