Raytheon Sells Aircraft Company For $3.3 Billion

Raytheon will sell its Raytheon Aircraft Co. to Hawker Beechcraft Corp.

Raytheon Co. said Thursday it will sell its wholly owned subsidiary, Raytheon Aircraft Co., to Hawker Beechcraft Corp., a new company formed an affiliate of Goldman Sachs, and Onex Partners., for $3.3 billion.

The transaction includes Raytheon Aircraft facilities and other assets in Wichita and Salina, Kansas; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Dallas, as well as its Fixed Based Operations network in the United States, United Kingdom and Mexico.
   
The sale, which is subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals, is expected to close in the first half of 2007.

RAC has more than 8,500 employees and has approximately 100 authorized service centers worldwide.
