Eaton Scoops Up Dover 's Fine-Filtration Business

Deal expected tp close by end of third quarter.

Eaton Corp. Wednesday said it reached a definitive agreement with Dover Resources Inc., a unit of Dover Corp., to purchase its Ronningen-Petter industrial fine filtration business.

Terms of the deal, expected to close by the end of the third quarter, were not disclosed.

Dover Resource's Ronningen-Petter fine filtration business had 2005 sales of about $30 million. It provides filters and components to customers in end markets that include the oil and gas, pulp and paper, and food and beverage industries. The business is based in Portage, Michigan, and has 110 employees.

Eaton is a diversified industrial manufacturer with 2005 sales of $11.1 billion.
