Yesterday, authorities were at the scene of a fire at a petroleum equipment facility in Mobile.
The fire broke out around 5 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Petroleum Equipment. WKRG-TV reports the plume of smoke could be seen for miles.
A company spokesman did not immediately return a telephone call from The Associated Press seeking comment.
According to local media, firefighters worked for about 35-45 minutes to contain the fire. There were no reports of injuries and no foul play suspected.
