After being linked to an outbreak of cyclospora that sickened consumers in Iowa and Nebraska, Taylor Farms de Mexico has halted production and will not resume plant operations or product shipping until the FDA grants approval. The company attempted to reassure consumers with a statement on their website, which read in part,

"We continue to be very confident in our Mexico operation throughout our own review of our existing, and recently further enhanced, food safety procedures, systems and critical control points."
