VIDEO: World Cup Team Hotels Raided Over Food Safety

A Brazilian consumer defense agency found past-expiration food in the hotels where national soccer teams from Italy and England are staying during the World Cup. The agency said the inspections were an effort to enforce food safety codes.

Brazilian health and safety officials raid the England and Italy team hotels in Rio de Janeiro for next month's World Cup, confiscating fish, meat and other food past their sell-by dates. Salmon, parma ham and butter was removed from England's Royal Tulip hotel, while 50kg of meat, seafood and pasta was taken from the Italian side's Portobello hotel.
