New incremental and absolute rotary encoders in various versions round out the Leuze portfolio in the field of measurement sensors.
Leuze
Leuze (Duluth, GA) introduced the EI (Incremental) and ES/EM (Absolute) Series rotary encoders for modern industrial automation and robotics solutions. The encoders are designed for precise motion detection, dual-bearing high axial load and vibration resistance, maintenance-free operation and versatile mechanical integration. They can be used in conveyor systems, robot axes, film packaging machinery, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and complete material flow systems.
Features:
- Incremental Measurement (EI Series): Available in sizes from 24 mm to 115 mm, providing resolutions up to 25,000 pulses per revolution with signal transmission via transistor-transistor logic (TTL) or interference-resistant high threshold logic (HTL)
- High-Resolution Absolute Measurement (ES/EM Series): Offered in single-turn and multiturn configurations, delivering absolute position values with resolutions up to 43 bits
- Integrates common industrial communication interfaces including CAN, Ethernet and SSI for direct, seamless connection to machine controllers
- Shafts mounted on two separate bearings to withstand high axial loads and heavy vibrations in demanding operational environments
- Provides multiple housing sizes, shaft diameters and flange configurations to adapt directly to diverse OEM machine concepts
