ControlAir (Amherst, NH) introduced the Type 625 Volume Booster for pneumatic control valve actuators. The Type 625 Volume Booster is designed for increasing airflow to reduce actuator positioning time, providing adjustable dynamic response, ensuring stable operation across actuator sizes and operating in wide temperature environments. It can be used in process control valve installations, oil and gas equipment, chemical processing, power generation plants and industrial automation.
Features:
- Provides 1:1 signal-to-output pressure ratio with supply and signal pressures up to 150 psig (10 bar) and Cv 1.5 forward and exhaust flow coefficients for rapid actuator filling and exhausting
- Enables field tuning of dynamic response and stability to minimize overshoot or hunting while allowing small incremental downstream adjustments without opening main valve
- Delivers output accuracy rated at 1% of a 100 psig output span, with maximum hysteresis of 1%
- Weighs approximately 1.25 lb. with 1/4-inch NPT ports, allowing for easy installation in any mounting position between valve positioner and actuator
- Available in Standard (-40°F to 200°F), Low Temperature (-62°F to 194°F), and Expanded Temperature (-55°F to 284°F) versions
