Air Technical Industries (Mentor, OH) has announced the development of the Telescopic Mast Straddle Crane, which is a mobile solution that is compact and can carry a variety of loads up to 50,000 pounds. According to the company, it can lift the load up to 120” high for loading, unloading, or transporting heavy loads from one plant bay to another. Other features include:
- A hydraulic operation with four telescoping masts synchronized for level and uniform lifting.
- A 440 volt/3-phase motor that provides clean, quiet, odorless, and smoke-free power for use indoors.
- Sixteen polyurethane wheels, which spreads out the load to protect the floor from damage.
- A self-propulsion system that is hydraulically-operated with two- or four-wheel drive to meet operating conditions.
