Flame-Resistant, Comfortable Coveralls

AmeriPride (Minneapolis, MN) has announced the Bulwark Excel FR ComforTouch Premium Coveralls, which are intended to resist ignition and prevent the spread of flame in areas where intermittent exposure to flame or heat is possible. They have an arc rating (ATPV) of 8.6 calories/cm², which allows them to meet NFPA 70E standards for hazard/risk category (HRC) 2 applications.

The coveralls use a lightweight 7oz. fabric, made of 88 percent cotton and 12 percent nylon, which allows for dry heat resistance and acts as a natural insulator. Other features include:

  • A two-way concealed Nomax taped brass break-away zipper.
  • Two, two-needle topstitched patch chest pockets with flaps and concealed snap closures.
  • Elastic waist inserts and side vents openings with snaps.
