The Revvo Caster Company, Inc. (West Seneca, NY) has announced two new Towcaster swivel caster sets for moving ISO freight containers quickly without expensive equipment, such as cranes, gantries, or side-loading forks. The Towcasters are now available as a set of four swivel casters for optimum mobility. They are designed for power towing up to 5 mph and are suitable for moving empty or evenly-loaded containers of a maximum of 40 feet in length. Other benefits include:
- Rugged polyurethane-on-cast-iron wheels in two sizes: 10” with a load capacity of 22,000 pounds, and 12” with a load capacity of 26,400 pounds.
- The availability of the Towbar, which measures 8 feet long and enables towing by fork truck or another type of vehicle.
- A tread width of 3” on the 10” Towcasters, and 4” on the larger version.
