Security Gates

Illinois Engineered Products (IEP) (Chicago, IL) has launched a security gate for loading docks and receiving doors that proves the adage ‘less is more.’ IEP manufactures the new Eco Gate in Chicago using 25 percent less steel finished in a non-toxic water-based coating. The Eco Gate uses a quarter-less steel than IEP¹s other security gates, and is made from 100 percent recycled materials.

The steel is galvanized to resist corrosion that can make it susceptible to pry-ins and bolt cutters. In addition, Eco Gate includes solid galvanized steel self-securing drop pins that fit directly into floor holes and steel U-channel webbing that is riveted back-to-back with aircraft-quality rivets.
