WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. – Sediver USA announced yesterday that the company is expanding its manufacturing plant in West Memphis, Arkansas. The expansion will create 40 new local jobs.
The West Memphis manufacturing plant has produced 5 million insulator units since opening, reaching the milestone on December 16, 2025. Sediver specializes in overhead line insulation technology, specifically glass insulators for medium or high-voltage lines.
Backed by advanced R&D and high‑voltage testing capabilities, Sediver manufactures reliable solutions across diverse environmental conditions to support utility grid performance worldwide.
The expansion is driven by sustained demand from U.S. utilities and by the plant’s ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certifications. All units produced at West Memphis are in service across the continental United States, with more than 100 U.S. customers qualified since start-up in 2017.
In 2025, Sediver implemented a series of strategic capital expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives to enhance its West Memphis assembly line. These efforts centered on process automation, equipment modernization, and PLC system upgrades, delivering significant improvements in production output, operational efficiency, and workplace safety. Looking ahead, 2026 will follow the same trajectory, as Sediver has already begun the next phase of capital investments to ensure long-term scalability and sustained growth.
The facility launched with one shift in April 2017, expanded to two shifts in September 2025, and currently employs 78 people. Additional employment opportunities are anticipated in the second half of 2026.
Building on Sediver’s August 2025 capacity expansion in West Memphis (designed to double output and create 25 new jobs), the company is planning a mid‑year expansion in 2026, moving towards third and fourth shift operations. This next step will strengthen Sediver’s local presence, create more than 40 new local job opportunities, and deepen the company’s local footprint in Arkansas.
Sediver Group has been owned by Blackstone since 2024.
