The state will contribute $305,000 in federal community development money to renovate the building, owned by the city of Columbia. The city will contribute $40,000 for site work and renovations.

St. James Lighting manufactures handcrafted copper lighting fixtures and custom interior chandeliers and pendants.

It will relocate to the facility formerly occupied by Orleans Furniture to accommodate the increase in production.

The company began production in 2008.
