After a number of concerns were brought to the table questioning potential labor and First Amendment violations, a California bill that would have put restrictions on the activities of those who film animal abuses at meat processing facilities and slaughterhouses has been killed. Jennifer Fearing, Director of the Humane Society of the United States in California, said,
"Sanity prevailed in Sacramento today."
