ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) — Triumph Foods in St. Joseph says it's expanding its plant with a 30,000-square-foot addition.
The pork processing company announced the $9.5 million investment Thursday and says construction will begin within the next 30 days.
KQTV reports Triumph plans to add about 30 jobs as part of the expansion. The company now has about 2,800 workers at the St. Joseph operation.
Triumph's chief administrative officer, Patt Lilly, says the additional refrigerated space is needed to keep up with demand for its products.
