(Manufacturing.net) — Rockwell Automation yesterday announced it is seeking nominations for its Manufacturing Safety Excellence Awards for manufacturers with a strong safety culture, well-executive compliance procedures and effective use of contemporary automation technology. The company also plans on recognizing collaboration between environmental health and safety (EHS) departments and engineering departments to ensure better compliance and worker safety.

Rockwell is accepting nominations for the award through August 31, 2013, and they say entrants can range from end-user manufacturers to machine and equipment builders to integrators — they only need to demonstrate “a true commitment to safety.” Entries can be made here. The award will be presented at the America’s Safest Companies Conference, which takes place between October 28 to 30 in Atlanta, Ga.
