DuPont Packaging Graphics & Pitman Extend

DuPont Packaging Graphics and Pitman, an Agfa Company and leading supplier of prepress, industrial inkjet, pressroom and packaging printing products and systems, recently signed a distribution agreement for the DuPont™ Cyrel® portfolio of flexographic products in the U.S.  As a result, DuPont and Pitman are extending their market reach, and Pitman is combining sales and technical specialist resources to more effectively support Cyrel® customers.

“Pitman is a distribution powerhouse in printing and has been strengthened with the resources Agfa Graphics has added since the acquisition,” said Wendy Andrushko, North American sales director – Packaging Graphics.  “Working together, DuPont, Pitman and Agfa offer our Cyrel® customers a win-win with superior products, service and support.”

Packaging Graphics portfolio of products includes Cyrel® brand photopolymer plates (analog and digital), Cyrel® platemaking equipment, Cyrel®round sleeves, Cyrel® plate mounting systems and the revolutionary Cyrel®FAST thermal system.
Pitman, a U.S. distributor for Cyrel® and Cyrel® FAST products for more than 35 years, was acquired by Agfa Graphics in August 2010.  With a new focus on enhancing its relationships with existing customers and providing value-added solutions for their business, the Pitman technical and specialist support teams will aggressively drive new opportunities for DuPont and its customers.

"We are pleased to extend our relationship with DuPont and look forward to future success as we expand DuPont’s market reach and penetration,” said Peter Wilkens, president of Agfa Graphics. “We are known for our best-in-class packaging product portfolio. Our goal is to deliver complete integrated solutions that maximize productivity and therefore, profitability for customers who are always striving for workflow improvements.”
