A company that makes lightweight composite material used in airplanes, boats and other products plans to locate a manufacturing plant in High Point and create 68 new jobs.
Multiple media outlets reported that Baltek Inc. announced plans Friday to spend $3.5 million on the facility over the next three years.
The jobs will pay an average of $38,000 a year, on par with the average salary for Guilford County.
Baltek is a member company of Switzerland-based 3A Composites.
The project has received state and local incentives worth almost $400,000.
