A worker has died in a forklift accident in southern Kansas City.

Kansas City Fire Department spokesman Joe Vitale said that the accident happened Tuesday morning at the former General Services Building facility at a 310-acre federal complex.

The victim was dead when paramedics arrived.

No other details were immediately available, including the name of the victim.
