Authorities have arrested a man they call a person of interest in the investigation of the death of a 14-year-old central Kansas girl whose charred body was found at an asphalt plant.
The Kansas attorney general's office said 36-year-old Adam Joseph Longoria was caught Friday by the Kansas Highway Patrol off Interstate 70 near Salina.
Longoria is being held in Barton County on a warrant for a vehicle stolen from the same asphalt plant outside Great Bend where the body of Alicia DeBolt was discovered Tuesday. Authorities did not know whether he had an attorney.
Alicia had left her house around 11 p.m. Saturday to go to a party. Her family reported her missing Sunday afternoon after she failed to return home.
