Authorities say two men are dead in a mining accident in the eastern Arizona mountains.
Show Low Fire Department spokesman Eric Neitzel says crews worked all day Sunday to recover the 77-year-old miner and his 25-year-old son-in-law.
Neitzel says they were working in a private mine about 15 miles northeast of Show Low Saturday when they were apparently overcome by poisonous carbon monoxide fumes caused by explosives.
The recovery effort was still ongoing Sunday night. Their names weren't immediately available.
