Chemtura Plans To Build Plant In China

Chemtura Corp. said Monday it plans to build a multi-purpose manufacturing facility in China, but gave no details on how much it will invest.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Chemtura Corp. said Monday it plans to build a multi-purpose manufacturing facility in China.

The Middlebury, Conn., chemical company didn't say how much it planned to invest in the facility, or when it would be completed. Chemtura said the facility will initially support its urethanes business.

Shares fell 5 cents to $18.41 in morning trading.
