Dow Oil and Gas Introduces New EMBARK™ Rheology Modifier at SPE ATCE 2
Dow Oil & Gas, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company and its consolidated subsidiaries, is proud to announce the introduction of EMBARK™ Rheology Modifier for high-temperature, high-pressure environments at the 2010 Society of Petroleum Engineers’ Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (SPE ATCE) in Florence, Italy. The new rheology modifier represents the first product in the new EMBARK line for exploration from Dow Oil & Gas, and is offered in addition to the business’ broad offering of solutions for exploration, production and enhanced oil recovery.
Meeting the growing global demand for energy requires exploration in more extreme environments, but drilling under higher temperatures and pressures can take its toll on equipment and desired fluid properties. Jointly developed by Dow Oil & Gas and Halliburton, the new EMBARK Rheology Modifier is designed to protect equipment and enhance drilling operations in these extreme drilling environments, serving to increase production and reduce operating costs.
An advanced drilling and completion fluid additive, EMBARK Rheology Modifier offers:
