DuPont Paralegal Model Honored as ‘Top Ten’ Most
Inside Counsel magazine recently honored DuPont Legal in its annual recognition as one of the Top 10 most innovative legal departments. The publication highlighted the DuPont Legal Model and its incorporation of the DuPont Paralegal Utilization Model as a resource to increase productivity, improve quality of legal services, and increase opportunities and use all of their legal personnel more cost-effectively.
Marybeth Davies, manager of the paralegal program, has fully utilized her team of 58 full-time paralegals in all corporate practice areas, working with in-house lawyers and managing most of the work.
“The DuPont Paralegal Utilization Model sets the bar for the innovative utilization of in-house paralegal professionals,” said Marybeth. "At DuPont, we’ve created a culture where paralegals are partners with the business people, as well as colleagues and partners to the lawyers with whom they work. In this economy, we have to do more with less, and paralegals are really stepping in to fill that gap.”
