Simonton Windows plans to move its headquarters from West Virginia to Ohio and use the existing facility in Parkersburg as a satellite office.

Simonton spokesman Marty Davis told The Parkersburg News that the move to Columbus, Ohio, won't affect the company's manufacturing facility in Ritchie County.

Davis says about 63 positions in Parkersburg will be cut. The Parkersburg and Columbus locations each will have about 75 workers.

Simonton said this week in a news release that the Columbus location is more centrally located between its manufacturing facilities in West Virginia, Illinois, Oklahoma and California.
