A company that builds fishing boats says 115 new jobs will be created when it makes a $13 million investment in its plant in Flippin.
The Arkansas Economic Development Commission said Wednesday Gov. Mike Beebe was on hand as Fishing Holdings President Randy Hopper announced plans to retool and expand the northern Arkansas facility.
Fishing Holdings makes Ranger and Stratos boats, and recently acquired Triton Boats from Brunswick Corp. Officials say the process to integrate production of Stratos Boats and Triton Boats into the Flippin plant is under way.
Fishing Holdings is owned by an affiliate of Platinum Equity, which acquired Ranger and several other boat brands, including manufacturing facilities in Michigan, in February.
