An Edmond man who was working at a construction site on Interstate 40 was killed when he was run over by a dump truck.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 48-year-old Anthony Avery died in the accident just east of Roland shortly before 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Troopers say Avery was working at a construction site on I-40 westbound when the driver of the dump truck backed into the construction zone and ran over him.
