RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- Packaging company MeadWestvaco says it has completed the sale of its envelope products business to graphic communications company Cenveo Inc.
Richmond-based MeadWestvaco announced the completion of the sale to Stamford, Conn.-based Cenveo late Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
MeadWestvaco says about 900 employees working in its envelope products group will transition to Cenveo.
The company has gone through a deliberate transformation over the last several years from a mill-centric paper supplier to global partner for brands like Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola and Walmart.
MeadWestvaco has said the sale would better position it for continued growth and success.
