CROSSETT, Ark. (AP) -- Crossett will pick up 120 jobs with the addition of a $6.8 million manufacturing plant that will produce components used in printing ink.
AREZ LLC announced Monday that it will build a headquarters and production facility in the southeast Arkansas city.
The company chose to open a U.S. plant after its factory in China reached capacity. AREZ says that the Crossett plant will be able to produce 25 million pounds of resin annually. Resin is a compound that enables ink to bind to a surface.
AREZ is a subsidiary of an Irish company, AREZ International Ltd.
The announcement complements an earlier announcement that Georgia-Pacific LLC will upgrade its Crossett mill and add 40 jobs to the 2,100 it already has in Crossett.
