VINTON, Texas (AP) -- El Paso County sheriff's authorities say an employee at a steel plant has died in a furnace explosion.
Authorities say employees at the Arcelor Mittal plant near Vinton found one worker was missing after hearing a loud explosion early Monday morning.
Fifty-seven-year-old Apolonio Arras of Anthony was found and taken to the hospital, where he died.
Vinton is about 17 miles north of El Paso.
