ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) -- Minnesota officials say Universal Circuits Inc. has agreed to pay a $45,000 fine for alleged environmental violations at its Maple Grove manufacturing facility.
The state Pollution Control Agency said Thursday the allegations stem from inspections in 2007 and 2008.
The company makes circuit boards used in military hardware. A message left with a company spokeswoman Thursday was not immediately returned.
MPCA says the company's manufacturing process uses hazardous materials and generates wastes that contain corrosive acids. The agency says inspectors found conditions suggesting the company didn't clean up hazardous spills as quickly as possible.
MPCA says the company has since corrected all alleged violations and is currently operating in compliance.
