BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- Atlas Copco Compressors LLC USA has bought the compressor division of Premier Equipment Corp. Inc., of Baton Rouge.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Twelve employees will join Atlas Copco from Premier Equipment as a result of the acquisition.
Premier is a longtime Atlas Copco compressor distributor.
The business was sold by principal stockholder John A. Young.
Atlas Copco's headquarters are in Stockholm, Sweden.
Young tells The Advocate everybody will keep their jobs.
Young retains ownership of J.A. Young & Associates, a distributor of process equipment since 1965, and Premier Control Systems LLC, a manufacturer of electrical and instrumentation equipment. Those two companies employ 20.
