JACKSON, Miss. (AP) -- The owners of HomeStretch LLC say the upholstered furniture manufacturing company will open a location in Nettleton and eventually bring 140 jobs to the area.
Owners William "Skipper" Holliman and Gentry Long made the announcement Wednesday in a news release sent out by Gov. Haley Barbour's office.
They said the 140 new jobs will be created over the next four years.
Monroe County will borrow $1.5 million from the Mississippi Development Authority's Capital Improvements Revolving Loan Program to buy the former Advantage manufacturing facility in which HomeStretch's operations will be located.
MDA also provided $298,000 for improvements, and the Appalachian Regional Commission provided $240,000.
